THAT’S IN GOD’S DEPARTMENT

My will is one with God’s will. I have never had
difficulty yielding to His will; but I have had
difficulty in knowing what was God’s will. I have
often studied and received guidance from the verse in
Philippians 2:12 LNT: …Put into action God’s saving
work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence
and fear, for God is working in you, giving you the
desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases
him. Christ prayed in Gethsemane: “Father, if you
are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will
but yours be done” (Lk. 22:42 NIV).
There is only one God so quit applying for His
position
Jean and I feel assuredly that we are doing God’s will
and God gives us the power to do what pleases Him. We
have maintained the Casa Grande as the AMA Mission
base for over two years now. The Governor of Amazonas
has made many maneuvers to wrest this property away
from Iván Porras. He told me from the beginning that
it might take several years to “quiet” the title.
This case has gone to the Supreme Court in Bogota, but
still he is attempting to steal the Casa Grande.
Do you know what on earth you are on earth to do?
On Wednesday we were visited by two representatives of
the Attorney General. Immediately, Jean called Iván
on his cell phone. They expressed satisfaction that
this estate (managed by the Bournes) was being used to
better the conditions of the indigenous Indians of
Amazonas. They took our photos and others of the
house. Then they asked, “Are you being bothered by
anyone here in Leticia?” It appears that the case is
being “rested.” Señor Porras says that it is God, the
highest court, who has settled this case. February 6
is definitely A RED-LETTER DAY!
As we pray, May your will be done here on earth, just
as it is in heaven (Mt. 6:10 NLT), we are doing our
job, and allowing God to manage all that is in His
department.
