Jesus’ birth was a well-planned event. All of the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah’s birth, life, and death found their fulfillment in Jesus. This inspired Paul to testify that God sent His Son “when the time had fully come.” In other words - from an economic, political, social, and spiritual standpoint - God so ordered history that Jesus came at the perfect point in humanity history. Paul’s long and earnest practice of the Jewish faith adds perspective to his statement. As a former Pharisee, Paul had joined with his people down the centuries who fervently prayed for the coming of God’s Messiah.

This brief testimony serves to remind us that God’s timing is not always in line with our own. From his all-seeing and all-powerful position, God moves according to His own eternally trustworthy timeline.
