LORDS OVER GOD’S HERITAGE”
by Erwin Bourne—February 24, 2002

AMA is working with Ticunas in Peru where Funai has
no authority.. As an example, the Andersons at
Cushillo Cocha just reopened school there with
sixty-plus students registered. Among these are
eighteen Ticunas, four Boras, four Huitotos, three
Chayahuitas and more. I will repeat my motto:

ENTER EVERY OPENED DOOR &
KNOCK AT EVERY CLOSED DOOR

The door to the Matsés on the Javarí, the frontier of
Brazil and Peru, seems closed. We keep knocking. The
Matsés keep pleading. AMA has made three excursions
far up the Javarí. We need to build two churches, so
we keep on knocking. In the meantime, we have pushed
far upriver into Peru. The Church at Erené is
virtually complete. The launch has moved on.

We urgently need to build several churches in the
Caballo Cocha area. As you know, we are pressing on
to Iquitos. Once a base is established there, we have
opened up for evangelism a vast number of indigenous
tribes stretching to the frontier of Ecuador. We are
admonished in I Peter 5:2-4: Care for the flock of
God entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not
grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but
because you are eager to serve God…. And when the
head Shepherd cometh, your reward will be an
everlasting share in his glory and honor.

You can feed a sheep every day.
You can shear a sheep once a year.
You can kill a sheep once in a
lifetime.
Christ says: Feed my sheep.
