I PASSED THIS LITTLE CHAPEL
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your book! I couldn't put it down from the time I received it in the mail last week. I really enjoyed your story and journey through addiction to Jesus was something like my journey too. I am also a recovering addict/alcoholic, born again Christian following Jesus as best as I can. Its so amazing how Christ works, and uses us for His purpose. I love this web site too! I gave the bible that ya'll sent me to my girlfriend's husband for Christmas. I really like the NIV translation so I thought he might like to read that kind of bible. I just finished talking with her tonight and she said he has been reading the bible he got for Christmas! I gave my girlfriend the Life Recovery Bible(NLT) for Christmas last year. She is so close to letting Jesus in but just is so afraid to do so, I know that its in His time but I sure would like to see her born again and her hubby too. I printed out the prayer of salvation for her to keep with her, I'll keep ya'll posted on that one!
I never in this wide world thought that our Savior would even begin to use me as a prayer warrior! Me, an alcoholic and drug addict, who thought she was functioning and fooling everyone else around her, namely family and friends! I hardly even knew how to pray for myself let alone others! And all this stuff about the Lord sending me to stand in the gap, what gap?....... I have learned so much in these last few years as a born again Christian woman! No longer having the need for alcohol or drugs and learning so much from the rooms of AA/NA. After going each and every week for four years(this April) to a recovery meeting of some sort, I still had this hole in my heart,I was still yearning for something else. I passed this little chapel called Living Word Chapel, I attended the service there the following Sunday and boy did the Spirit of the Lord hit me,right between the eyes!!! That was also almost four years ago,since then I have been working with addicts/alcoholics in a faith centered 12 step approach to recovery and loving it. Also since then the pastor of Living Word Chapel has opened the doors to the Tampa Bay Dream Center in Ybor City(Tampa) modeled after the Dream Center out in LA.
Oh my life is so good today, God is so good today! I am so thankful for my little puter in which to find sites just like yours! I've been told that nothing happens by accident in God's world, so I believe it wasn't by accident that I came upon your site! May our Lord Jesus bless and keep you both,
