Experience an extraordinary God in ordinary Life

I

Change Me From The Inside

There have been times in life where I just couldn't clue in. One of them was when I was studying electronics engineering technology and had to take a course in differential integral calculus. I've never failed at anything as miserably as I did with that course.

I studied like mad. I did extra exercises. I had a tutor. At one point I made audiotapes from the textbook and played them over and over again in the night as I slept.

I finished the course with a mark of 33%. Calculus just wasn't my thing. God used that failure, as it led me out of that field and ended up in the long run taking me to my career path as a commercial banker. That's a whole other story though.

Sometimes in our Christian walk, we try and try and just don't seem to get anywhere. We try our hardest and fall to sin.

The reason is that we work at trying to change our external behavior when we need to allow God to change our hearts. I'm reminded of a worship song called "Change me on the inside." The chorus is really a prayer and it is a six-fold repetition of the title "Change me on the inside."

The reality is that we can't make the changes on our own. We might be successful for a while but the transformation will be only superficial. We need to transform our hearts and our minds with Holy Spirit's help.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 NIV

Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Romans 8:12-14 NIV

We need to live by the Spirit. We need to be sensitive to His leadings and promptings and allow Him to change us from the inside.

If you're walking in frustration instead of victory it is time to stop and seek God's leading. Let the cry of your heart be for Him to change you from the inside.

Until next time, may you be transformed into the image of Christ, not just on the surface but also from deep within. May the love and power of Christ Jesus shine brightly through you.

Be blessed.

Hallelu Yah (Praise God)!

YOU ARE

Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are worthy.

They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. Revelation 3:4b NIV

Never let the enemy tell you that you are worthless or insignificant. You have value in the eyes of God so great that it was worth dying for. You are a blessing to the world.

Do you know the Jesus who can empower you and change your life? The Jesus who will forgive your sins and bring you to eternity with Him?

f you haven't made the decision to accept Christ as Lord
