ARE YOUR HORSES RUNNING AWAY WITH YOU?

A well known preacher was riding beside a a cab driver who had once been a professional business man but had lost all through alcohol. During the trip he barred his soul to the minister and appealed for his advice.

"Friend," replied the minister, "if you were driving a team of horses and they were running away with you, even after you had used every possible means of to hold them, what would you do if you suddenly discovered that there was a man sitting next to you who knew exactly how to control your team and save you from disaster?"

Without a moment's hesitation the driver replied, "I'd hand over the reins to him." "Exactly" said the preacher, "so knowing that your life is out of control, don't you think it would be wise to hand Jesus the reins and let him take control of your life?"

What about you? Is your life out of control, or have you turned the reins over to Christ?

"The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee, For Thou, Lord, has not forsaken those who seek Thee."
