WHERE WILL YOU STAND?

“But all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Then the glory of the LORD appeared in the tent of meeting to all the sons of Israel. And the LORD said to Moses, "How long will this people spurn Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?” Num. 14: 10-11

The last and great test with which the children of Israel tested God was this: They spurned His very presence.

When Joshua and Caleb set about to urge them and to exhort them to boldly and courageously move ahead and take the Promised Land, because “ …Adonai is with us. Do not be afraid of them” the people’s response was to stone Joshua and Caleb to death!

They rejected the truth that God’s presence was enough – more powerful than any well-equipped army. They rejected this truth so adamantly that they were willing to murder those who proclaimed it!

We may yet see this repeated in the last days. Hard to believe? Think again.

Yeshua said that in the last days there would be those who would persecute and arrest those who spoke the Word of the Lord and even kill them, thinking they were doing the right thing. Such will be the deception that will blind people’s minds as this age comes to a close.

Where will you stand? Have you invested the time and energy to diligently study the Scriptures so that you are equipped for the last days? Do you understand that as a Bible believer you MUST stand with Israel and with Israel’s people, even at the cost of your own life? Are you ready to give an answer to anyone who asks why you have the hope that you do, the confidence in the Messiah that is yours?

Or will you be among those who will test God in the last days, preferring your own comfort and temporary ‘security’ in this world system instead of being found in the Kingdom of God and of His Messiah?

The last days are upon us. You didn’t ask to be born when you were. God chose you to be alive now. With that choosing comes all the grace you need to stand and be a hero of faith in these awesome days. Embrace His grace, embrace the tremendous privilege that is yours. Like the three young men in the fiery furnace, say boldly and courageously, “Our God is able to deliver us, but even if He doesn’t, we will not bow.”

May we all be found faithful to the very end.
