How to Be More Positive - 16 ways

how to be more positive

You can learn to become positive! We are all uncertain on certain days and/or moments in our lives. It is important not to surrender to your fear and concerns and to learn new ways to cope with change.

Positive thinking is something that I didn't get from home. I had to teach myself this. This is done by trial and error. In every 'difficulty' there is a 'challenge' ;-).

Life can be tough. By learning to think positively, you give yourself the energy and power to get through a difficult time and/or period. You have a better chance of making good choices and taking action in relation to your objective.

Do you have someone in your area who constantly complains? If you have someone in your area then you probably also know what it feels like after a conversation with that person. You are tired, your energy is gone and you may experience a bit of a 'down' feeling.

Do you know someone who is happy and positive? If you talk to them you will feel very different afterward. You are enthusiastic, you see it all over again, you are energetic and you feel happy.

Learning positive thinking has been an important step in my life for me and I hope you see why positive thinking is important.

By being thankful for the beautiful things in your life, instead of complaining about the bad things in your life, you will find that your mood is better and the law of attraction starts to work. More good things will come your way.

Of course, it seems easy for me to say: "look at the bright side of life" but practice makes perfect.

Becoming positive: 16 ways

1. You always have a choice.

Whether something 'good' or 'bad' happened in your life. You always have a choice of how you react to it. The situation does not change. It does, however, matter how you look at the situation. It may be hard to believe, but for example present a situation to your family, friend and/or colleague and look at how the person looks at the situation. You will see that there are different options. Do you look at the positive side of the situation or the negative side? Always try to find the positive.

2. Wake up positively.

Start the day well! Start with something that you can enjoy or that gives you a smile.

3. Stop comparing yourself with others.

Do not compare yourself with others and do not worry what others think of you. You cannot change how others think about you. Don't try it. Live your life and be happy.

4. Live in the Now.

Do not let your thoughts go to the past or the future if it is not necessary. This is often the start of negative thoughts.

5. Focus on what you want and not on what you don't want.

An issue that often occurs is focusing on what you do not want instead of what you do want. If you focus on what you do not want then it will be difficult to get what you want in your life. For example, do you want a healthy financial situation? Then focus on getting a good financial basis than looking at the lack of money and your debts.

6. Read books or articles about motivation and personal development.

A positive attitude is a habit and the same goes for a negative attitude. To help you have a positive outlook on life, you must be constantly reminded of this. You can be reminded of this by regularly reading books about this subject. Read good books about the areas in your life that you want to change. Read the stories of people who have already achieved it.

7. Appreciate what you have.

This is a very simple thing but can really bring more positivity to your life. I have experienced that gratitude is a great way to convert fear, sadness, frustration, etc. into more positivity. Before you go to sleep, mention at least five things for which you have been grateful that day and do this immediately in the morning when you awaken. It is really a powerful method for more positivity.

8. Eat nutritiously.

How your body feeds has a direct effect on how you think. Treat your body well and give it the nutrition it needs to work properly. Avoid as much sugar as possible. You will be amazed by the difference in your body as well as your mind.

9. Thoughts become things.

I learned this from the book, "The Secret " by Rhonda Byrne, which is based on the Law of Attraction. Rhonda says in her book that what you broadcast also attracts. It means that when you think negative thoughts, you attract more negative things into your life. The same applies to positive things in life. You bring more happiness into your life by focusing on the positive.

10. Read more positive news.

I have stopped reading the newspaper for a long time. I'm just getting depressed with the news. I sometimes read the newspaper but then I start looking for positive news. That is often a good search ;-).

11. Laugh.

It is the best medicine for a positive and optimistic view of the world.

12. Affirmation.

Positive affirmations can help you build more confidence and learn to be positive. However, it is best to connect affirmations with an action to come to a positive habit. A positive affirmation can be:

* Everything is possible

* The only thing I have control over is my attitude to life

* I always have a choice

* Every journey starts with a first step

13. Trust yourself.

By learning to be positive and taking action, it is important to have faith. Trust that you will meet the right people, that there will be opportunities and that you will learn to look positively in life.

14. Reserve time for yourself.

Make time for yourself. Sometimes it is easier to be depressed and moody if you give all your energy to other people.

15. Spread positivity.

Write cards, tweets, messages on Facebook to your friends and/or family with positive wishes and thoughts. Spreading positivity generally helps you to feel positive.

16. Be realistic and expect ups and downs.

Being an optimist does not mean that you cannot have bad days. This will have you, that's just the reality. It is not always rose scent and moonshine. If we are realistic and see that there are wave movements in life and that everything is part of it, then we are able to experience things as they are.

Expect and hope for the best of everything, this makes you an optimist. Take control and learn how to ban negativity from your life. Make it a priority to work on your positivity. Changing the world around you if you let your light shine on the people, opportunities, and possibilities around you.

A pessimist sees the problem in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every problem.
- Winston Churchill.
